Forest-Inspired Installations
The Tree by FARM Creates Real Time Responses to Sound

By: Robyn Currie (Rockstar) Oct 29, 09
{SummaryTitle}

When you approach the National Museum of Singapore you will be met by a contemporary reinterpretation of a banyan tree. The Tree by FARM is a massive installation project that uses the society’s hustling, noise-polluting tendencies to its advantage.

Crafted out of a metal frame that has pulsating lights throughout, The Tree by FARM has hanging microphones that detect the varying sounds surrounding it. The pulsating lights will then modify their pulses accordingly.
