The UK grassroots group Plane Stupid, which fights for tougher laws against aviation expansion and pollution, has released this very graphic ad about the effect of aviation on greenhouse gases. The Plane Stupid polar bear ad shows bears falling from the sky onto city streets, and ends with, “An average European flight produces over 400kg of greenhouse gases for every passenger. That’s the weight of an adult polar bear.”
