According to IMDB, ‘The Smurfs’ will be coming to a theater near you in 2011 and if they look anything like Australian artist Mimi Kelly’s blue-skinned model, children around the world won’t know what hit them. Of course, that’s not going to be the case at all (I hope).
That said, Mimi Kelly’s controversial portfolio straddles the thin line between fashion and pornography. Extremely graphic at points, her work has always focused on eroticism. Interestingly enough, these are all self-portraits.
