Contrary to some popular belief, geeks and nerds can have girlfriends/boyfriends, as proven by this incredibly sweet wedding proposal using a home made version of the prop from the Iron Man Arc Reactor. The geek is question is Eddie Zarick, a modder who creates a ton of unique products by simply tinkering with popular consumer electronics in his garage.

In this case, Zarick created a functional replica of the Arc Reactor which is sported by Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark character in the Iron Man films. With a push of a button, the glowing LED-enabled device would open a door to reveal a beautiful wedding ring.

Of course she said yes, giving hope to geeks everywhere that true love is out there for everyone, even someone who turns gadgets into other, cooler gadgets in his garage all day. A perfect message with Valentine's Day right around the corner.
