Made to look mechanical, they are stunning pendants that represent the complexity of the heart and the feeling of love. Building on a past line titled Bling Bling, which involved jewelry made from layers of gold-plated logos, these hearts make up two other collections dubbed Clockwork Love Gold and Clockwork Love Paper. Frank Tjepkema describes them as "jewelry collection[s] evenly and consistently combining a great multitude of graphic elements in a multitude of layers."
Based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Frank Tjepkema's Clockwork collections are currently on display in Gallery Ra. They are comprised of six timepieces expressing different 'heart moods' such as fragility, passion, uncertainty and desire. Each piece is as delicate and detailed as a real heart.
