The Eco-Friendly Steam Dishwasher Doesn't Use Detergent

Behold the future of dishwashers: small, convenient, and completely detergent-free. That’s right, no more powdery messes or slimy fingers because this eco-friendly Steam Dishwasher by Vincent Liew cleans without an ounce of soap.

But how, you ask? Pressurized steam is used instead of the normal soap and water to thoroughly dislodge gunk on dishes and sanitize them. However, there is a final rinse with—listen up—used water. Yes, along with being detergent-free (which results in less bad solvents contributing to ozone depletion), the eco-friendly steam dishwasher uses a process called “Membrane Technology” to separate food particles from water. So, the water that was originally used to steam and rinse the dishes is cleaned and reused again in the next wash!
