The world that exists between sleep and waking is captured beautifully in 'Living in a Dreamworld,' a series by Amalia Chimera (or, as she is known outside of the Internet, Amalia Sieber).
Recognized most famously for her graphic design work for the titles of the film 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,' Amalia is an artiste extraordinaire, creating an incredible portfolio in the art of photography, stop animation, motion graphics and interaction designs. Her eye for capturing incredibly touching, nostalgic and ethereal images, as shown in 'Living in a Dreamworld,' is what I'm especially drawn to, and her understanding of film photography and lighting effects is what enables her to create such hazy yet beautiful shots. From a photo that reads "Remember" in light, to an almost out-of-this-world image of a person near the ocean, each shot tells an incredibly story full of a wild imagination.
