Leggings can be gaudy enough, what with the introduction of rhinestone and lace, but I believe zippers may be taking it one step too far. Leggings are supposed to be casual chic; keeping it simple is your best option when pairing this fashion statement with a long sweater or hip button-down, yet adding this 1980s flair to your leg is just over the top.
And what would be the need for these leggings anyway? I have yet to see the actual use for the zipper besides being ridiculous and ugly all at once.
