World Advocates Luxury at NZ Fashion Week

New Zealand Fashion Week kicked off in Auckland yesterday with quite a bit of sparkle and dazzle.

A highlight of the event was this sparkly outfit adorned with thousands of hand-sewn Swarovski crystals from the World collection titled “There is No Depression.”

It’s probably best not to get your heart set on this one for your next party because securing one will set you back $33,000.

World designer Francis Hooper said that the collection was designed to encourage women to spend money on luxury pieces instead of items meant for mass consumption.
