Babies as Political Props

Candidates Kids Off Limits, Yours, Not So Much

In terms of press coverage, Sarah Palin’s grandbaby is off limits. Sarah Palin’s babies are also off limits. In fact, all political families seem to keep their offspring off limits.

However, when on the campaign trail, candidates like Sarah Palin, Obama and even McCain just love (hate) holding babies. Baby Dahlia shown here with nine different presidential candidates proves the point. Her dad had a couple rules: no slobbering by the candidate on the kid, and no pix with Alaska Senator Mike Gravel, just too creepy.

Clever.
