Retail giant 'Walmart' states that a single gold ring generates approximately 20 tons of mining waste! Their new eco-friendly jewelry line, Love, Earth, was started to provide jewelry with less of an impact on communities and the environment.

They will sell jewelry that can be traced back to the sustainable mine it came from - providing a story with each piece.

It seems like a bit of a publicity stunt, but, what isn't these days?
