Kitten as Food

Firefox Shares Logo with Cat Cooks, Festival

I Can BE Cheezeburger! LOL. I love kitties, with a nice chianti and some fava beans. Every September, people from all around Peru flock to La Quebrada to have a festival in honor of Saint Efigenia. (Saint EffinWho?) During the festival, a small group of people celebrate by demonstrating their culinary cat cooking. When asked why cats? a spokesperson said, because they aren't kitties anymore. The African descendants ate cat to survive.

One participant, Roberto, noted, “I think it's great that people have made the effort to dance, sing, eat a little cat.”
