Tajima Creative has created a new kind of peace symbol. By donating to the Global Nuclear Disarmament Fund they were able to dismantle a stockpiled nuclear weapon. They then created a charm out of the metal reclaimed from that weapon. They took something destructive and made it constructive.
The charm was packaged in a beautiful woodgrain embossed envelope that showcases the polished “Peace Is Disarming™†charm on a rope.
Implications - I think that this project is powerful in how it lets people own a piece of a weapon. The implications for a society could be huge if this project were to be translated into other areas with a social dimension.
