Patricia Field Teams with Mattel

Stylist and Costume Designer Patricia Field has collaborated with Mattel to design a collection of Barbie-inspired sportswear, handbags and jewelry.

The line ranges from vintage-inspired to contemporary pieces like graffiti print hoodies and t-shirts. Also included are Barbie logo nameplate necklaces as well as accessories emblazoned with the Barbie silhouette gold logo plaque.

Patricia Field is the costume designer of "Sex and the City" and of the upcoming latest television series "Cashmere Mafia".

Of why Patricia Field was chosen to design the Barbie-inspired clothing, Richard Dickson of Mattel explains,"I think Barbie is all about relevance, and we like to think of ourselves as on the cusp of everything relevant from a cultural perspective. There isn't a better, more relevant stylist in the world than Pat Field. And her sense of style can work with anything, from the most conservative, to the highly eclectic, and really, that is what Barbie is. She's elastic, she's plastic, and she's able to represent all sorts of different looks."
