The Big Fries Backpack is a limited-edition accessory created by McDonald's China for the brand's 12th annual Big Fries Day celebration. Inspired by the appearance of a McDonald's takeaway bag, the backpack features a paper bag-style exterior with Golden Arches branding, printed fry graphics and a detachable receipt charm. Two removable red fry-carton pockets attach to the sides with Velcro, while fry-shaped zipper pulls reinforce the food-inspired design.
Designed with everyday functionality alongside its novelty aesthetic, the backpack includes internal dividers and space for a 13- or 14-inch laptop. The concept originated from craft creator Daomeidan, whose handmade design was adapted into an official collaboration after gaining popularity online. Limited to 5,700 units, the backpack was released through McDonald's China's official app and McMall on WeChat for RMB 119 plus 10 membership points as part of the annual Big Fries Day promotion.
