Spanish-Only Insurance Ads

'Aflac Te Ayuda' is the Insurer's Second Ad with No English Version

In recognition of the diversity of its customers, 'Aflac Te Ayuda' is a Spanish-language ad from the American insurance company that has no parallel English spot. The ad was created to give the Hispanic community better information about Aflac's voluntary insurance products, but it also uses the humor with which the company has become associated.

Though Aflac has released commercials in Spanish in the past, they are usually the same concept as an English version (with Spanish-speaking actors subbed in instead.) Such a system works to recognize the Hispanic population, but it is unable to address the specific needs of these communities. By creating a Spanish-only ad, Aflac was able to communicate with the Hispanic population of America without mediating it through English speakers.

The Aflac Te Ayuda ad shows a woman with a broken leg worrying about how her injury will impact her expenses, while the Aflac duck gives her a helping wing.
