B15 is a student installation that pays tribute to electropop music. The activity is led by Canadian architect Jean Verville and is the graduating project from Laval University School of Architecture.
B15 is an all-white student installation that is reconfigurable in its essence. The graduates delivered 15 painted blocks that were made out of plywood. As the semester progressed, the students experimented with the components, testing out different configurations and landscapes.
The student installation was strongly informed by Montreal electropop singer/songwriter Camille Poliquin who is a member of the band KROY and wrote a piece to specifically fits this project. B15 explores the various "rhythms, sequences, nuances and variations" that are a part of the genre and Poliquin is said to use the graduating project as the backdrop for a music video.
