The structure, which was recently moved to the gardens of Serralves in Porto, Portugal, is a bent and curving cavern, but it's covered in a geometric series of rigid triangles that strive to make sense of the flowing edifice.
Serralves Pavilion was part of a video art project for the Sao Paolo Art Biennale, but it has since been moved to its final location in Porto. Passersby are free to enter the pavilion through the open end, though they'll find that it's almost entirely dark on the inside. Thanks to the gentle curve along the horizontal axis, reaching the closed end of the structure almost entirely blocks out the light from the open end, creating near pitch blackness.
