Beach Town Kronborg by Arkitema Updates Oceanfront Living

Beach Town Kronborg is a project by Arkitema Architects that's planned for the Tretorn-grunden, Helsingor area of eastern Denmark. The oceanside community spans 15,000 square meters, or about 9.3 miles, and will contain between 100 and 150 homes.

The Arkitema Architects design won top honors in a Danish competition to revitalize the beachfront area, beating out Henning Larsen Architects, BIG and Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects. Beach Town Kronborg boasts contemporary wooden homes in three major types: town houses, beach houses and beach villas.

Whether you're used to seeing shacklike beach homes or ostentatious sprawling mansions at the seaside nearest you, Beach Town Kronburg is a beautiful, eco-friendly blend of the two. The wooden homes' simplicity and modern details update the classic oceanside aesthetic nicely.
