Luzinterruptus' Water Installation Celebrates Communal Spaces

The 'Rain Interactive' water installation by 'Luzinterruptus' was set up to commemorate a public space that was once a swimming pool. The installation is made up of 800 extra large, extra strength condoms filled with blue-tinted water and lightbulbs. The effect is like a surreal experience of walking amongst raindrops that have been stopped from falling.

The public space will soon be turned into a shopping centre, optimized for tourists rather than the neighbourhood's residents. This installation was set up to celebrate the communal space before it is converted into commercial space. The installation captured the attention of the local population, and as it was set up many kids participated in water balloon fights. Luzinterruptus was quite pleased at the success of the installation's ability to bring the community together.
