Extravagant Converted Warehouse Homes

Clancy Moore Architects Creates a Light-Filled Home & Studio

This contemporary warehouse home and studio in Dublin is refurbished for photographer Fionn McCann and his family. The interior is overhauled by Clancy Moore Architects and it exudes major contemporary vibes—from the double-height atrium to the round internal windows and diagonal beams.

The original structure was erected in the 70s and it features a lot of unconventional architectural elements. It was Clancy Moore Architects' task to work around and preserve these peculiarities which ultimately inform the unique aesthetic of the spacious warehouse home.

To amp up the interior's exposure to natural light, the local architecture firm introduced a total of four new skylights. Three of these are concentrated at the corners of the atrium, allowing it to function as a living space, as well as McCann's studio.
