The AART Architects recently put together a concept proposal for the viking museum located in Oslo that features a contemporary crescent shape to the building's exterior. From an aerial view, the museum mirrors the shape of a crescent moon, while connecting to several neighbouring buildings housing artifacts and pieces from the viking era. The combination of history with modern design references contemporary building while simultaneously nodding to antiquated viking ship building.
The edifice focuses on a curved shape that offers a flow to the space for visitors to move through seamlessly, without boxing guests into separate rooms to see different exhibits and settings.
