Gin is perhaps one of the most innovated spirits in the world and Surrey-based distillery The Gin Kitchen has recently partnered with Lingfield Park racecourse to create a turf-infused gin. Created exclusively for the racecourse, the turf-infused gin utilizes botanicals sources from the Lingfield Park estate, including Bramley apples, lavender, rosehip, lemon mint, and turf from the track. According to Kate Gregory, co-founder of The Gin Kitchen, "we’re thrilled with the results; we’ve never used turf before but loved the idea – we had no idea how good it would taste!"
The new turf-infused gin will be served at bars on the racetrack and a bottle will be given to victorious owners alongside two Lingfield Park balloon gin glasses.
