Recycled Pallet Installations

HG-A + Live Components Compose the 'Tectonic Landscape' Piece

Tectonic Landscape is an installation done by HG-A + Live Components in South Korea. The design is meant to resemble that of tectonic plates, which if you live in earthquake-prone zones you might have heard quite a bit about before. The installation attempts to re-create the landscape of these parts of the earth out of recycled pallets.

The sculpture is meant to be interactive, so that visitors can walk and climb over the installation. The main goal of the project is to have people get closer to the topography-resembling installation to learn more about these natural pieces of the earth. By becoming more educated on the subject of this topography, hopefully more earthquake-proof innovations will be produced. Photo Credits: designboom, livecomponents-ny
