The Macdonald Public Facility Complex used to be an old warehouse, so instead of leaving this structure as is and allowing it to fall apart, Kengo Kuma stepped in with an alternative design.
The new building will host a variety of different activities, from gymnastics to educational classes. One of the goals for completing this structure is to reinvent this area of France. Instead of looking at the space as an old industrial section, developers want to give the people of the region an area to meet other individuals, educate themselves and get exercise.
