Brooklyn-based studio The Principles launches a collection of prism planters that have a raw edge with opportunities for customization. The pots are composed out of sheets of aluminium or pre-rusted steel, which gives the design an industrial vibe. The prism planters embrace a movement called Modular Constructivism and one that thrived in the 50s and 60s.
The Principles aimed to create an exterior that both answers to modern geometry-focused decor, as well as one that can respond and adapt to spatial limitations. As a result, the studio's prism planters can be stacked to create a "modular vertical garden." The different arrangement is subject to consumer preferences. While the containers are skillfully designed to tessellate together, The Principles are mindful of functionality and leave enough space for the vegetation to grow.
