Photoreactive Surface Installations

Project Or

Project Or is a vortex-shaped surface installation at the Milan Furniture Fair 2008.

When in the shade, Project Or, which reacts to ultra-violet light, turns a transluscent white and when hit by the sun, the segments become colored with different hues. At night, Or turns into a huge chandelier.

"Or is the first time that photoreactive technology has been used on an architectural scale," OrProject notes. "The ecological structure is a step in exploring the possibilities of photoreactive materials in the fields of furniture and design. The beauty of OR is its constant interaction with the elements. Each moment of the day is unique."

Project Or is filled with possibilities for future dynamic architectural designs. The photo reactive segments are really neat and beautiful.
