Isolated Glassy Steel Cabins

The 'Metal Lark' Cabin Offers Tranquility in Northern Wisconsin

The 'Metal Lark' cabin has been designed by Sala Architects as a holiday home in Northern Wisconsin that provides tranquil living space along with ample views of the surrounding landscape to help bathe inhabitants in the natural environment.

The cabin is constructed with a half steel and half glass design that splits the living space across two floors, and features a partially occluded facade that is kept hidden from the gravel driveway with trees that also offer shade in the summer. The floor-to-ceiling windows on the upper floor of the home provides uninterrupted views of the 140-acres of landscape that includes a nearby lake.

The 'Metal Lark' cabin maintains its hidden appearance from the road thanks to its location on a sloped section of land that also allows for the aforementioned views.
