The Maritime University of Malmo Takes on a Sculptural Appearance

The Maritime University of Malmo is a stunning example of modern architecture. Yet while it might be a school, it does look more like a menacing fortress of an evil overlord. That might seem extreme, yet the sharp angles and dark materials make it hard to deny this comparison. That said, the structure instills awe in anyone who lays eyes on it, thus likely encouraging people to want to attend its premises.

An extension of the original (and much older) building harking back to the 1910s, the Maritime University of Malmo was recently captured by Kim Høltermand, a Danish photographer currently living in Copenhagen. He was just as impressed by the fortitude of the striking building.
