Projected Kaleidoscope Installations

Philipp Frank's 'Trinity' is a Large-Scale Light Installation

A large-scale light installation is on display at St. Ludwig's Church in Munich, Germany. Named 'Trinity,' the artwork elevates the aesthetic in the already mesmerizingly beautiful historic building. For the project, the creative photographed certain ornamental elements within the church and used them as a base to develop eerily beautiful kaleidoscopic animations of symbols and patterns. These immaterial artworks are 3D-projected on a large blank canvas that is comprised of a triangle and a semi-circle.

The installation is positioned in a central spot on the altar of St. Ludwig's Chuch. Philipp Frank's mesmerizing piece is able to capture attention and delight visitors with its almost ethereal ambiance. Originally, the project was accompanied with soundscapes by Stephan Heuberger on the organ.
