Artist Isabelle Hayeur Brings Awareness to Vancouver's Run-Down Areas

Taking the common phrase "fighting fire with fire" quite literally, Montreal-based artist Isabelle Hayeur brings awareness to a debilitated area in Vancouver, British Columbia. With strategically placed video projections, she created a rather realistic illusion of a fire in a run-down heritage building on West Hastings.

A powerful art installation, Isabelle Hayeur's work also recalls the great Vancouver fire in 1886. Be sure to watch the looped 15 minute video of the Fire With Fire art installation featured here.
