Starbucks Hong Kong is Now Serving a Thai-Style Vegan Crab Cake Salad

In collaboration with Green Monday’s food tech arm OmniFoods, Starbucks Hong Kong added a plant-based crab cake salad to its menu. Made with vegan crab from the OmniSeafood line, the meatless Thai Style New Crab Cake Salad shares a base of mixed lettuce leaves with pumpkin, red onions, tomatoes and fresh pomelo.

Although the new Starbucks Hong Kong x OmniSeafood meal is free from meat and dairy, the dressing that comes with the salad does contain fish sauce. This meal (without the dressing) appeals to vegan and vegetarian consumers, as well as a wider group of consumers who are now finding themselves open to plant-based eating.

Previously, Starbucks' Hong Kong menu has seen OmniPork dishes on the menu in collaboration with OmniFoods.
