The Casa Cardenas is Organized for the View

ParqueHumano designed the 'Casa Cardenas,' a sprawling contemporary residence located in Valle de Bravo, Mexico.

The architects kept the unique characteristics of the plot in mind when designing the residence; for instance, its triangular shape and angular slope of the land. They also focused on creating innovative indoor/outdoor spaces that build a meaningful relationship with the landscape.

The home features a cavernous opening, allowing the surrounding asymmetric walls to act as a picture frame for the panorama. Two volumes are arranged around a garden and joined together by a bridge.
The first volume contains the kitchen, living and dining areas and bedrooms; meanwhile, the second volume features a studio with views of the inner courtyard. Overall, the interior spaces are organized to follow and optimize the exterior.
