Waterfall-Powered Off-Grid Pubs

Carlsberg Challenged Six Strangers to Build a Pub in Five Days

Carlsberg brought together six complete strangers and challenged them to build a pub over the course of five days. As part of the project, the participants—with no previous building experience—completed the construction of not just any old pub but one that's off-the-grid and powered by a waterfall. While the finished product is noteworthy in and of itself, so is the adventure that these people embarked on, creating friendships and a once-in-a-lifetime accomplishment.

The 'Carlsberg Cabin' was created by architect Ben Huggins of New British Design and it pays tribute to Danish design and makes the most of eco-friendly wood.

Those who are looking to share drinks and some laughs at the remote Carlsberg Cabin can now find it listed on Airbnb.
