Beer-Dispensing Surfboards

The Beerboard stores and dispenses beer from a fully surfable board

The Beerboard is a custom surfboard created through a collaboration between Gage Roads Brew Co. and Phantom Surfboards founder Chris Garrett. Inspired by the classic Greenough Spoon design, the single-fin board incorporates a sealed internal chamber capable of holding 10 litres of Gage Roads Summer Ale Single Fin while maintaining full surfing functionality. The construction required a redesigned internal structure that balances food-safe beer storage with the hydrodynamic performance expected of a traditional surfboard.

Developed as both a functional surfboard and a beer dispenser, the project was tested in the ocean by professional surfers including Olympic medalist Jack Robinson and free surfer Brendan Margieson. The Beerboard reinterprets the surfing community's long-running debate over measuring board volume by turning litres into a physical design feature. The product that functions as both sporting equipment and promotional design.
