AI Animal Welfare Apps

Arla Finland's App Connects Consumers to Data on Dairy Cows

Arla Finland introduced Arla Milkchain in 2018 as a way for consumers to trace their milk cartons all the way back to the farm. The newest update to the Arla Milkchain gives consumers even more access to information about how products are made with traceable information on animal welfare.

Using the Arla Iris app and artificial intelligence technology, Arla Finland collects data points on the comfort of cows, the flow at which the animals could move from place to place with ease and the percentage of cows that could be milked at will. The technology is currently being tested at the Tikka Organic Farm in Finland and offers a more in-depth way than ever for consumers to learn about the brand's Single Estate Organic Milk.
