Cornish-based distillery Wrecking Coast, perhaps best known for its clotted cream gin, has partnered with London restaurant Cornerstone to create a unique apple juice gin. The botanicals used in this gin are fairly typical, with juniper, coriander, Seville orange, Sicilian lemon, lime and pink grapefruit peel, rosehip and rowan berry. However, instead of water, this spirit uses cloudy apple juice from the Polgoon Vineyard and Orchard. This apple juice gin was a first for Wrecking Coast but managed to achieve the goals of creating a "simple, layered, flavor profile with an apple base."
Distilled and designed for the latest Tom Brown restaurant, this gin was thought up by Craig Penn, a partner at Wrecking Coast Distillery. The apple juice gin was made closely with Brown and his team at Cornerstone to accompany the flavors explored in the menu.
