Australia's ANZ Bank created this ad to promote gender equality among women in business roles through the use of young girls.
The ad is a short commercial campaign that features numerous young girls between the ages of about two and 15. The girls proceed to read facts and statistics about women's inequality around the world. Most of the phrases pertain to business careers and financial information such as salary wages. The highlight of the commercial is when"seven-year-old black belt karate star Mahiro-chan, a tiny, fierce little girl who performs a series of awesome moves." This powerful ending to the commercial projects a message to the audience silently stating that women will not stand for these statistics and the future generations will stand up for equality.
This ANZ bank ad was created by Whybin/TBWA Melbourne and directed by Jane Campion.
