Penitentiary Therapy Pods

These Egg-Like Pods are Designed to Bring Prisons Accessible Health Care

Designer Karl Lenton of UK company Safe Innovations created these therapy pods that bring accessible healthcare to prisoners. The idea is to create a safe, enclosed and portable station where those who are in prison have access to "a table, color-changing lamps, speakers and touch screens as well as room for one-on-one consultations or group meetings."

The therapy pods are designed in a structure that measures two and a half meters in its diameter and are made of glass-reinforced plastic. Each pod can be constructed in half an hour and uses no clips, screws or bolts.

This fascinating capsule aims to change the way healthcare is delivered to prisons. The revolutionary facilities will increase accessible healthcare and bring physical and mental aid to those in prison in a safe and cautious way. For prisons that are designed to amplify sound, these pods provide a safe haven for vulnerable inmates.
