Applying for an apartment can feel a lot like applying for a job, but Zillow is hoping to make the process easier by centralizing the entire process. Available to both landlords and renters, this new system includes a set of property management tools for apartment applications and rental payments online.
Renters wanting to use the Zillow system will need to pay $29 to submit an application to as many places as they want in a month. The fee for the applications also includes an Experian credit report, an eviction history and a background from Checkr. This consolidation of materials is a lot less time-consuming than submitting individual applications and can be easily done in one place.
For landlords, the Zillow system is free through the Zillow Rental Manager tool and will allow them to review ad accept applications and rent payments all through Zillow.
