The Yellow 25 Installation Transforms Tribute into Visual Song

The Yellow 25 installation transforms tribute into a visual song as Pantone collaborates with Wembley Park to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Coldplay’s hit "Yellow." Stretching across the Spanish Steps between Wembley Stadium and OVO Arena, the piece presents a gradient of 58 yellow tones that progress from pale muted shades to rich saturated golds, echoing the emotional arc of the song. Each hue was selected using the Pantone Matching System to capture warmth, optimism, and the dynamic rise and fall of the music.

Curated by Claudio Giambrone, the installation coincides with Coldplay’s ten-show residency at Wembley Stadium. Visitors are invited to walk through the color-coded steps, experiencing the music translated into a physical and visual journey. Constructed from PVC-free, recyclable materials, Yellow 25 will be repurposed after September 30, reflecting the band’s environmental ethos while reinforcing its cultural resonance in a landmark public artwork.
