The Weavers House Takes Inspiration From Its 18th Century Past

Situated in the heart of the Spitalfields district of east London, the Weavers House is a historic structure that has recently been redesigned to once again serve as a family home. With a history dating back to 1721, the Weavers House has always been a home but this new remodel draws heavily on its original 18th century design.

Designed by Chan + Eayrs, this historic home aims to respect its existing charms while also combining traditional materials, techniques and colors with open spaces, clean lines and considerate details. Much of the interiors are lined with lime plaster while pieces of furniture feature rough oak planks. The use of this wood can also be found throughout the Weavers House and serves as a nod the house's architectural heritage.
