Wandercraft's Exoskeleton is Designed to Aid Patient Rehab

The Food and Drug Administration has recently cleared the Atalante exoskeleton robot by Wandercraft. It is a machine that aids recovery during stroke rehabilitation and helps with intensive gait training. This is particular to patients that have limited upper body mobility which may be a struggle to implement other methods.

The new Atalante is self-balancing and powered by a battery. It also has an adjustable gait that is able to help with the early stages to create more natural walking in the later parts of therapy. Wandercraft is planning to deliver and roll out its first exoskeletons in America within the first quarter of this year. The hardware is still to be used for clinical purposes with assistance from therapists.
