Old-Fashioned Parisian Eateries

The Abstinence Restaurant was Designed by Studio Lizée-Hugot

Designed and completed by Parisian studio Lizée-Hugot, the Abstinence restaurant in Paris is reminiscent of the city's 1970s aesthetic. To accomplish the desired look, the materials used throughout the eatery are typical of a classic Parisian brasserie. Wood, marble, lacquered ceiling, and tubular steel furniture characterize the space.

Situated on Rive Gauche near the École Militaire, wine cellars and chic dining counters inspired the design studio. An open kitchen wrapped by a large central bar for dining is located at the center of the restaurant. Overall, the Abstinence eatery boasts an elegant and intimate feel. The interior blends colors and forms associated with the 1970s, such as birdseye maple, olive, tan leather, and tubular steel furniture.
