Patterned Plywood Facades

Tempesta Tramparulo's Home Design Features an Artistic Flourish

Artistry isn't typically something for the exterior of a home, with most owners opting to keep their paintings and other artistic works on the walls of the interior rooms, but Tempesta Tramparulo opted to design this home with an artistic flourish on the outside. The home has a facade made out of slats of plywood, and they've been arranged to form an intricate and captivating design.

Aside from its creative patterning, the home in Grimisuat, Switzerland, is designed to give its residents ample access to natural light. Some of the slats on the exterior fold upward to reveal a massive floor-to-ceiling window, which creates a tremendous view of the mountains in the distance, and the spaces between the slats themselves hide windows throughout much of the space as well.
