E1+E4 used lovely oak wood to build the cabinets, cut to form perfectly straight surfaces in some areas and dentilled edges on either side of the separate left cupboard. Although it's all one piece, this quirky construction method makes it look as though one side is breaking apart from the other.
To enhance this peculiar effect is the lacquered MDF material of the cabinet doors. This part of the Taree Sideboard is decorated in pixelated pieces of various shades of grey to achieve a compelling pattern of disorder.
