The Soundwave by Penda is a Vibrant Steel Installation in China

Consisting of 500 perforated, bright purple steel fins, the Soundwave is a gorgeous sculpture located within the Myrtle Tree Garden in Xiangyang, China. The sculpture is spread out over a considerable spread of land at the entrance of the garden and features four varying shades of purple, which is the same tone as the Myrtle Tree.

Inspired by movement and dance, the varied heights of the steel fins make for a dizzying, immersive experience that channels motion and even touches upon the famous Gothe quote, "architecture is frozen music."
