Enormous Futuristic Science Centers

SMAR Architecture Studio's Proposal is Spacious and Minimalist

In the most popular Lithuanian Design Contest to date, SMAR Architecture Studio prevails with its innovative and minimalist proposal for a clean and ultra-futuristic science center. The award-winning design competed against a total of 144 teams from 44 countries.

The soon-to-be-built National Science and Innovation Center in Lithuania boasts a distraction-free aesthetic and a reference to the existing landscape with a "sloping and reflecting upper disk" on the ceiling. From the detailed image renderings, one can easily deduce that the innovative science center entertains an open-space concept for the floor plan that is sure to foster socialization and a platform for discussion between visitors. It is expected that SMAR Architecture Studio's detailed design input will be completed by 2019, while the National Science and Innovation Center is set to open doors by 2021.
