Known for its low-income housing, Toronto's Regent Park gets an Aquatic Centre makeover -- one that replaces the community's original, outdoor pool. The result is a space that marries contemporary design details with rustic finishes. The structure's cedar-paneled ceiling is its most striking feature while its glass partitions bathe it with natural light.
This indoor pool facility's ceiling is also dramatically shaped to resemble a dorsal fin, one of MJMA studio's biggest inspirations for this project.
