Sainsbury's is Introducing Sweet & Smokey BBQ Pulled Jackfruit

To better support consumers who wish to pursue plant-based diets, UK supermarket chain Sainsbury's is launching an all-new range called 'by Sainsbury’s' that includes entirely meat-free options such as Sweet & Smokey BBQ Pulled Jackfruit.

This exotic and versatile meat alternative is described as being like a cross between a pineapple and a pear, with an ability to mimic pulled pork that the chain calls "extraordinary." The meat-free pork alternative has the potential to be used in everything from tacos to burgers and beyond.

Of the seven new products to be launched as part of the new range, some of which are vegan and all of which help to empower consumers to make better-for-you meal choices. Some of the other new options that will be introduced include the by Sainsbury’s Roasted Cauliflower Steaks and the by Sainsbury’s Caramelised Onion Shroomdogs Vegetable Sausages.
